The Serengeti National Park boasts an exciting year-round tropical climate. From June to October, the dry season offers warm days and cool nights, perfect for spotting wildlife around waterholes. November to May brings the lush wet season, with brief showers in November and December and heavier rains from March to May, transforming the landscape and fueling the thrilling Great Migration of wildebeest and other herbivores. Whether dry or rainy, the Serengeti always promises spectacular natural events and abundant wildlife.

During this period, the camp closes for annual maintenance for 6 weeks.
Expect dry savannah, warm days and nights with rare sprinkles of rain making for epic sightings at watering holes.
Your Health
Although our camp is at high altitude and malaria is less common than elsewhere in the Serengeti National Park, it is best to consult with your doctor about taking Malaria pills before travel, especially during and after the wet seasons as a precautionary measure that the government reccomends.
This area also tends to have tsetse flies, so best avoid wearing high-contrast colors like black and blue, which tend to attract them. Opt for neutral, light shades to stay more comfortable outdoors.
Also, a Yellow Fever inoculation is required when traveling to East Africa with the relevant vaccination certificate.
